About

We are happy to announce that the conference Combinatorics 2026 will take place in Naples, Italy, during the week of May 25–29, 2026.

This will be the 23rd edition in the long-running "Combinatorics" conference series, held in Italy since 1981. The inaugural meeting took place in 1981, and a new edition has been organized every two years since 1982—except in 2020, when it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

These conferences are organized through the joint effort of the combinatorics research groups based in Italy and have a long tradition in the Italian and international landscape of combinatorics and its applications.
They have always been characterized by strong participation from many experts in the various aspects of combinatorics and combinatorial geometry from all over the world.
The aim of the Combinatorics conferences is to present recent results in pure and applied combinatorics, together with their links to geometry, algebra, designs, and graph theory, and their applications in coding, cryptography, and information theory.

The last edition was held in Carovigno in 2024 and a list of all previous editions can be found here.

Plenary Speakers

The speakers are internationally recognized experts who have made substantial contributions to combinatorics, graph theory, design theory, coding theory, cryptography, and finite geometry. Their involvement ensures highly relevant overviews of the state of the art in current and future developments in these fields.

One of the main goals of Combinatorics 2026 is to support the professional development of young researchers. This series of conferences has traditionally seen high attendance by PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career academics, who have the opportunity to present their research.
